This is 5-year-old Suryanshu Singh - and today, he is fighting for his life. ?At an age when he should be holding toys and going to school with a bag on his back, Suryanshu is holding hospital reports. His tiny veins have seen more injections than any child should ever have to.He has been diagnosed with Blood Cancer - ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia).Suryanshu is from Bihar. His father, Mr. Shankar Dayal Singh, works a small private job. With a very limited monthly income, he was somehow managing to run his family. But since the day his son was diagnosed with cancer, his world has collapsed.He has run from one hospital to another, from his village to the city, begging, borrowing, selling whatever little he had. Now, his pockets are empty, but his son's treatment is still incomplete and very expensive.Today, Shankar ji has only one question in his tear-filled eyes - "Will I be able to save my son?"Suryanshu doesn't even know what is happening to him. He still looks at his mother and asks innocently, "Mumma, when will I go to school again?" And his mother has no answer, only tears.But there is HOPE.Doctors have said that with timely chemotherapy and proper treatment, Suryanshu can be completely cured. He has a full life ahead of him. He can live. He can go to school again.
